First place

Dr. Louie Valdez

Dr. Valdez had a 25 yo woman come in with RLQ pain, TTP of RLQ. Bedside sono showed an 8cm mass on the R adnexa with concern for torsion.  Patient was hurried to sono with gyn eval.  She was ultimately taken to the OR with diagnosis of dermoid cyst causing adnexal torsion.  A great use of ultrasound to speed up the process.
